Casa Canto
Mallorca, Spain

The existing split level house features cozy rooms and some interesting spatial connections. The refurbishment project seeks to keep this cozy feeling and at the same time to increase the spatiousness of the kitchen and dining areas which were very small in the original house.
By eliminating a central kitchen column, widening the dining space, and strategically enlarging several windows, the refurbishment retains its cozy character while introducing a greater sense of light and airiness.
